Biography
Valeria Vecerina, born in Carate Brianza (Italy) on 27.03.2001, started studying violin at 5.
She began her studies with different teachers, including the violinist Davide Alogna, who prepared her for admission to the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Como at the age of 11. Then she graduated with Maestro Enrico Casazza in July 2021 with 110 cum laude.
She has attended numerous prestigious Academies such as the “Accademia di Alto Perfezionamento dei Musici di Parma” with Stefano Pagliani, the Imola “Incontri col Maestro” Academy and the “Fondazione Scuola di Musica di Fiesole” Academy with Professors Oleksandr Semchuck and Ksenia Milas and the “Stauffer Center for Strings” Academy with Professor Salvatore Accardo with whom she also participated in the summer masterclasses in 2021 and 2022 at the “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena.
She attended masterclasses with Maestro Francesco Manara, Ilya Grubert, Shlomo Mintz, Leonidas Kavakos.
She was awarded first prizes in the International Competitions of San Bartolomeo al mare, Vimodrone, London's Grand Prize Virtuoso and performed in the Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall and she took the scholarship to the Scimone Competition 2023 in Padua.
She performed as soloist with the orchestra at the Palazzina Liberty in Milan for the MiAmor 2019 festival and at the Sala Apollinee of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice.
In November 2022, she performed for “Camera con Musica” in the Sala Bianca of the Teatro Sociale in Como.
In September 2023, she performed for the Fondazione Società dei Concerti in Milan.
She has collaborated with SJSO (Schweizer Jugend Sinfonie Orchester) under the direction of Modestas Pitrenas.
She obtained a Master of Arts in Performance at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana with professor Klaidi Sahatçi, where she had the opportunity to do masterclasses, including chamber music classes with Danilo Rossi and Enrico Dindo.
She is currently attending the Master de Soliste at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva-Neuchatel with professor Sergey Ostrovsky.
She is playing a Petrus Bernadel of 1834 of Lalive foundation from Geneva.
